Membership Approvals

If the member’s application is approved, they will be charged the initial payment and subscription based on the level’s settings. Installation

To use the Membership Approvals add-on, you must have the Paid Memberships Pro plugin installed and activated with a valid license type. Simply navigate to Memberships > Add Ons in the WordPress admin, locate the add-on and click “Install Now”.

Setup

To set up approval settings for a membership level, go to Memberships > Membership Levels > “Edit Level” or “Add New Level” admin page. Under the “Approval Settings” heading, select an option for the “Requires Approval” setting. You can choose to require approval from the admin, an approved membership from another level, or both. Save the level to apply the changes.

Processing Approvals

Approvals can be managed via the Memberships > Approvals admin page. This page shows all members who have completed an application and allows the admin to approve, deny, or view the status of a previous decision. Clicking the appropriate link will perform the desired action.

Notifications

Throughout the membership approval process, there are several notification emails that can be sent to the admin and members. These emails can be customized on the Memberships > Settings > Email Templates page in the WordPress admin.
