Popup Analytics – Plugin Overview
The Popup Analytics plugin extension is a powerful tool that enhances the functionality of Popup Maker. It adds several analytics features to the popup admin and editor, allowing you to gather valuable insights about your popups’ performance.
Five New Columns in All Popups Admin Page
With the Popup Analytics extension, you will find five new columns of data in the All Popups Admin page. These columns provide valuable information to help you analyze the effectiveness of each popup:
- Opened: The number of times a popup opens in the browser.
- Average Time Open: The average amount of time a popup remains open in the browser.
- Conversions: The number of times a visitor performs a conversion action inside a popup, such as clicking a link or submitting a form.
- Average Conversion Time: The amount of time a popup remains open before a conversion occurs.
- Conversion Rate: The number of popup conversions as a percentage of all the times a popup is opened.
Any data related to average time open, average conversion time, and conversion rate will be displayed as “N/A” until a conversion occurs.
Analytics & Stats Metabox in the Popup Editor
The Popup Analytics extension also adds an Analytics & Stats metabox to the Popup Editor. This metabox provides a summary of views and conversions for each popup. It calculates and displays conversion rate data as it becomes available. Additionally, you have the option to reset the popup analytics data.
Conversion Settings Metabox in the Popup Editor
Popup conversions can be customized using the Conversion Settings metabox in the Popup Editor. This metabox allows you to choose from four different options:
- None/Auto: Select this option when using Popup Maker with Ninja Forms, GravityForms, or Contact Form 7 plugins.
- Form Submit: Count conversions from popup form submissions.
- Button Click: Count conversions whenever a visitor clicks a button inside your popup.
- Link Click: Count conversions whenever a visitor clicks any link inside your popup.
This flexibility allows you to monitor different conversion endpoints for different popups, based on your specific needs.
Analytics Admin Page
The Popup Analytics extension includes an Analytics admin submenu. This page displays URL and open data for each published popup. Simply select a published popup from the menu drop-down list and click the Submit button to view the data.
The Analytics page provides valuable insights into the performance of each popup, allowing you to track views, conversions, and conversion rates for different URLs.

The Popup Analytics plugin extension is a powerful tool for gathering valuable insights about your popups’ performance. With its added columns in the All Popups Admin page, additional metaboxes in the Popup Editor, and the Analytics admin page, you have all the necessary tools to analyze and optimize your popups for maximum effectiveness.
