In Easy Digital Downloads 3.0, the feature of manually creating purchases from the admin area is built-in. This allows you to easily record orders that are paid for in person or over the phone with a credit card, or to provide complimentary copies of your product for promotional or support purposes.

Add Download

Choose the product(s) that you want to include in the order. You can select the download(s) and specify the quantity. Easy Digital Downloads automatically calculates the unit price and order total for you. If needed, you can also manually set these values. This flexibility allows you to tailor each order to meet the specific needs of your customers.

Add Discount

If your store has registered discounts, you can apply one to the order. This is a great way to incentivize your customers and encourage repeat purchases. Offering discounts can help increase your sales and attract new customers to your products.

Add Adjustment

Order Status

Date

Enter the order date. If left blank, Easy Digital Downloads will automatically use the current date. Having the correct order date is important for record-keeping purposes and can assist in tracking sales and analyzing trends over time.

Gateway

Key

This is a unique identifier for the order record. It is usually left blank, and Easy Digital Downloads automatically generates it. The key helps in efficiently managing and organizing your orders, making it easier to search for specific orders or track customer history.

Transaction ID

Enter a transaction ID for the payment. This can be the ID from the gateway or a custom ID. Including a transaction ID allows for easier reconciliation of payments and helps track and resolve any payment-related issues that may arise.

Send Purchase Receipt

Decide whether to send a receipt to the user once the payment is created. Sending a purchase receipt enhances the customer experience and provides them with a record of their purchase. This can help reduce customer inquiries and provide them with peace of mind.
